Fostering your child's potential

Welcome to a world of small school opportunity.

Girgarre Primary School provides your child with a unique learning pathway, fostering their potential via a supportive and stimulating environment.

Students reach their full potential: personally, socially and academically, via an array of educational possibilities not found within a large school environment.

Girgarre Primary School specialises in curricula that are unique, and capture your child’s interest and strengths, setting your child’s pathway to a future of possibility and confidence.

What sets us apart?

Teacher to student ratios:

Bringing your child's level of learning to life with a 1:5 staff to student ratio, working to achieve your child's full potential.

Free school uniform:

Starting school can be a costly exercise. Girgarre PS includes your child's first uniform free of charge.

Bikes and Scooters:

Before and during school, bike riding and scooting is a strong part of the student culture. The school has a fleet of 11 bikes that students can use.

Breakfast Club and fruit bowls:

To encourage healthy eating, students can take advantage of the School Breakfast Club. Children are welcome to cereal and toast. Fruit bowls can be found on the outside tables for students to help themselves throughout the day.

Sport and water safety:

To provide greater sporting opportunities we don't rely on PE teachers alone, utilising outside facilitators through the Sporting Schools program who provide children with opportunity to develop their skills.

Included specialist learning:

In addition to the classroom teachers, we have two Education Support staff and a learning tutor who provide additional support to ensure your child meets their educational targets.

Building brighter futures.

Girgarre Primary School have strong ties with the local community and we actively support local businesses when purchasing goods and services.

We have also received financial and volunteer support from many local businesses, organisations and families within Girgarre over the years.

We aim to develop the students of Girgarre PS as active, community-minded citizens who love their school and their community.
